The existing development

Windmill Lodges is a small, privately owned development of 7 holiday log cabins available to let in the picturesque Suffolk village of Saxtead. Each of our holiday log cabins is beautifully constructed of authentic, round log pine wood and have been awarded the prestigious 4 and 5 star awards from the English Tourism Council. We have also been awarded the Visit England accreditations of Cyclists and Walkers Welcome.

The planned development

Now you too can own your own private log cabin in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Choose from one of five beautifully oriented plot positions, set around a picturesque fishing lake and take advantage of our on site facilities, which include a heated indoor swimming pool and catch and release fishing lake. Each plot comes with a 125 year lease.

Once you have selected your plot, our sister company ‘The Bespoke Log Cabin Company’ will build a cabin to your exact specifications (subject to planning restrictions). Or if you would rather stick to one of our designs, you can choose from a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom cabin, that will include the following;

We can even furnish it for you. Our optional furniture and soft furnishing packs will ensure that your brand new holiday log cabin is extremely well appointed and furnished to a very high standard.
You then have the flexibility of restricting it to your own use or allowing us to let and manage it for you. With a guaranteed return on your investment if you choose to make full use of our management package.

It features spacious living accommodation with a fully fitted open plan kitchen, including dishwasher and fridge, a large double bedroom and modern fitted shower enclosure. It is heated via a gas fire and features under floor heating in the lounge, kitchen and bathroom and provides the perfect space for those quiet and romantic escapes that recharge the batteries and refresh the mind, body and soul.

The two bedroomed log cabin for 4 to 6 people is perfect for family getaways or for those couples that require just that bit more space.
