Fishing at Windmill Lodges is ideal for all the family. The 40m x 60m lake complete with island is situated in the centre of the site with all lodges facing onto it. The lake is amply stocked with carp and tench with a good head of fish at 1.5lb and some hitting 6lb.

The fishing at Windmill Lodges is solely for use by guests staying at Windmill Lodges, where guests can benefit from all year round fishing suitable for either the first time angler to the more experienced. At reception you can purchase everything you need from your bait, hooks, floats, etc and available to hire are landing nets and fishing rods – for the real amateur we even have a book to help you on your way.

Windmill Lodges is excellent for the whole family, you don’t have to be a keen angler to enjoy your stay. If fishing isn’t for all the family there is plenty to occupy everyone else from the heated enclosed swimming pool in warmer months to the hot tub, or simply enjoy your surroundings in front of the fire in the winter maybe watching that DVD you’ve been meaning to watch for months to reading your favourite book on the veranda.

If either fishing or sitting on the veranda you can enjoy the wildlife from rabbits, ducks, birdlife, and even the occasional muntjac deer.
